Many of the Berber people in Morocco are illiterate and parents would like to ensure that their children are better educated than they are. But unfortunately there is a lack of finance. The children are their future and therefore need to be educated.
- Children are prepared for education after primary school. This is being done by computer lessons as well as extra lessons in French, mathematics and f.i. hygiene and environmental issues. For this ten computers were bought and a teacher employed.
- Parents who cannot afford for their children to
continue education
after primary school, are given financial support.
We give also incidental support for eg. glasses and hospital appointments, etc. - Financial support is also given to enable children to enjoy and have fun on school trips for example.
That is why we founded our school fund in 2007. It is called AL MOUSTAKBAL NWA ARRADENE, which means THE FUTURE OF CHILDREN in Arabic.
The fund works in three ways:
The support given is not only for the bright girls and boys, but for children of all ability including remedial teaching.
Managing the school fund is not always easy, on the contrary, but since we started we have been quite successful.
It is requested that walkers support the fund by giving an extra 15 euros a trip. Do you want to participate as well?:
